Brian Butler
President & CEO, 10-42 K9 Inc.

Brian Butler is a seasoned entrepreneur and operational leader with a diverse background spanning emergency management, law enforcement, and executive leadership. With decades of real-world experience, he has built and led organizations across both the public and private sectors, including companies with hundreds of employees and national-level operations.

Brian has been involved in the working dog community for over 28 years, beginning at just 14 years old as a “bird boy” assisting in the training of retrievers for American Kennel Club (AKC) field trials. Since that time, working dogs have remained a constant throughout both his personal and professional life. His experience spans multiple disciplines, including narcotics detection, explosive detection (EOD), apprehension, live find search and rescue, and human remains detection (HRD). Dogs are not just part of his work—they are a lifelong passion.

Professionally, Brian operates multiple ventures across specialized industries. He leads a specialized aviation and aerospace logistics company supporting high-priority operations for organizations such as NASA, SpaceX, major commercial airlines, and the U.S. Air Force and Navy. He is also the co-founder of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) startup, developed in partnership with a former NASA rocket scientist, focused on building advanced AI solutions for entrepreneurs, with ongoing efforts to secure projects and contracts supporting the U.S. military through DARPA.

As the President & CEO of 10-42 K9 Inc., Brian focuses on supporting operational K9 teams and strengthening communities through the strategic placement of highly trained working dogs. His work ensures that retired and transitioned law enforcement and military K9s are paired with qualified handlers and organizations where they can continue to serve with purpose.

In addition to his professional and nonprofit work, Brian serves as Vice President of his local Merchants’ Association and is actively involved in community initiatives, including organizing events and supporting planning efforts for America’s 250th Birthday celebration.

Brian’s leadership is grounded in service, mission readiness, and operational excellence. He brings a hands-on, field-driven approach—bridging the gap between training, deployment, and real-world application.
